New work intake
One sentence in, a short interview, then a card, a split or a stack.
New work is how work starts on the Board. You write one sentence, in any language. The planner interviews you, then writes one card, a split into independent cards, or a stack. Nothing runs until you accept the result. Open it with New work on the Board, from Telegram with /new, or from the assistant.

The interview
The planner runs a short interview in your language, at most four question rounds. Every question comes with a recommended answer and the reason for it. Pick an option, write your own, or leave a question alone and it takes the recommendation. Enough, generate ends the interview at any point. You can attach screenshots to the request.
The planner runs on the runner with read access to the repository, so its questions come from your code, not from guesses. The model is a per-person setting, and you can change it at each start. Cards are written in English whatever language you speak.
One card, a split or a stack
Each turn ends in a question round or in one of three results:
- One card: a title and a mini-spec with four sections.
- Split: two to eight independent cards, with a reason. Use it for several unrelated tasks, or one task too big for one agent. Keep one card declines the split.
- Stack: several cards in ordered stages that share one design. Use it for one larger piece of work whose parts happen in order, or several changes to one screen. See Stacks.
In the review you can switch between Split and Stack, edit titles and kinds, move cards between stages and remove entries.
Drafts and candidates
The planner does not create cards. It writes candidates, and they wait in the Drafts strip at the top of the Board until you decide each one.

A candidate can be edited, rejected or accepted. Accept makes the card in To Do. Accept all takes a whole split or stack as proposed. Select candidates from several intakes to accept them as independent cards or as one new stack. An intake closes when no candidate is left, and an intake still waiting on questions has Resume.
From Telegram
/new <text> starts the same interview in the chat. Each question arrives as its own message with option buttons, and a text reply is your own answer. A photo or a voice message works too. The chat ends where the web does: the candidates wait in Drafts. See Telegram.
